| Customer Reviews: Board and Card Games - lots of enjoyment March 3, 2010 Mary Ann Schmidt (Thousand Oaks, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this game set. I usually play the card games the most. I like Gin Rummy, Hearts and Mille Bourne. The board games are fun too. I just learned the basics of chess, so I've played that on this game CD. Connect 4 is always a great way to kill time when you're waiting for someone. It's easy and quick. My only complaint is that I wish this game came in Window Vista for a friend of mine.
Not bad for the price August 9, 2005 Rivercat (San Ramon, CA USA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I bought this mainly for Rook, but sometimes play the other games too. The most annoying thing about this package is that you must have the CD in the drive to play. I understand that it's for copy protection, but it's very irritating if you want to load it onto your laptop for travel. Most games have some interesting variations (Rook has classic, tournament, and Red One), but if Atari and Hasbro had really thought it through they could have allowed more variation for house rules, like some PC versions of Monopoly do. No apparent differences in the computer players either, beyond the silly animations. The tutorial feature is a nice touch. Pretty basic stuff, but a good buy for under $10.
