Liked it alot. August 28, 2010 K. Moore I played the original. Majesty 2 was better graphically but did not seem to change much otherwise. That said I really enjoyed playing this game and want more. Was not able to finish the last scenario.
Cool but hard June 25, 2010 Curran Hamilton This game looks great is great fun but gets really hard really fast. to play this you have to be able to put up with your heros dieing constantly from the beginning.
Nice game, too bad it randomly crashes even with all the patches. May 23, 2010 C. Daum (Mtns of Georgia) I actually like the game but cannot play it because it randomly crashes while loading a saved game. It does this with ALL the patches applied, and on two different computers. Both PC's are high spec machines. I have tried everything to fix this problem and nothing helps. When I say it crashes I mean it REALLY crashes, goes to a blue screen and reboots on both PC's! Even makes me restore my desktop. I plan to complain to the manufactures about this. At this stage of the game there is just no excuse for such a buggy mess. After patches yet! It is just plain unplayable. Perhaps the problems will be fixed in some future Gold Editions. Lets hope so.
Majesty 2 definately worth buying April 19, 2010 Gary Buckner (MARION, NC, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased all of the old Majesty 2 The Fantasy Kingdom Sim that was put on the market and I really liked these. When Majesty 2 came along, I had been waiting for years for this to happen, and after playing the demo, purchased the game.
I have not been sorry I did. It is a great game with better graphics and other things than the original version due to technological advancement since then and some changes by the new company doing the publishing. But not that much has been changed an it still adherees pretty much to the old Majesty sims. True there are not the cheat codes from the old but, a good trainer takes care of this and if you are up on that sort of thing you can do it yourself to make it more to your liking. Or play it straight without either cheats or trainers, whichever you prefer. Unlike some of the other games that have been redone and butchered to the point the are only a game that resembles their counterparts of old, and are difficult to play and donot half way work right, or force you to use some loader such as Steam, which you do not need or want. This one is straight. No Steam or anyother loaders. You load straight from the game and it works perfectly. The only thing I have noticed is that, the editor is a bith hard to handle unless you print out the instructions but once you do this, it isn't that difficult to make your own scenarios.
I like this game and play it often and I intend to buy the add on even though I will have to download this since it is not available on DVD in boxed version anywhere but Russia. This is the only fault I have found that I don't especially like but I will do it nonetheless, because the game is worth it. If you are a fan of the old Majesty sims you will love the new ones. They are not that expensive and are definately worth buying.
"No fun...At all" (dying elven hero) January 31, 2010 Elijah Ben Rafael (Newton Upper Falls, MA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is bad. This is very bad. I don't want to go through all the flaws in the game since a lot of reviews here cover it up marvelously. I suggest "A kid's review" for a person interested. Poor AI, straightforward approach and lack of random map generator makes it an OK buy for $14.99 and the price tag of $9.99 will make it a very good deal in my opinion. "Paradox" and "1C" picked up a nice idea from "Cyberlore" and decided to give it a better visual appearance leaving almost everything else intact.
After playing "Majesty 2" for a while I like the original "Majesty" and "Northern Expansion" all the more. "Turbo Tax" is more fascinating to play with than Majesty 2.
Thank you.
