Amazon.com Product Description
Will you be an evil or benevolent deity? That's the choice you must make upon returning to a warring land in Black & White 2. Like its wildly successful predecessor, Black & White, the sequel is all about moral choices. The land, however, has transformed itself. The inhabitants of this breathtaking 3D world have lost their innocence and developed new weapons and technology. As you enter this warring world, will you make tribes coexist peacefully; encouraging villages and towns to grow into sprawling metropolises, or prompt them to inflict their will upon others by, creating and commanding large armies that seek to dominate and conquer? Creatures in the game have grown too. They can learn strategies, master new abilities and skills, lead armies into battle and be your ultimate unit. Black & White 2 includes other new elements, such as improved graphics and miracle effects such as rivers of fire and earthquakes that yield massive destruction. Every choice you make will have an impact. Each action and inactions prompts obvious changes to buildings, flora and fauna, all morphing to reflect your personality.

play good, play bad, play god The sequel to the critically acclaimed hit Black & White.
In thisstrategy game, you reprise your role as a powerful deity in search of a following and return to the once idyllic world of Eden, where the discovery of weaponry and warfare has tainted the beautiful landscape. With the help of your giganticCreature that you raise from infancy, you must earn the respect and worship of the natives. How you choose to do that,, whether through nurturing them or terrorizing them is up to you. Once there were many gods - all depending on theworship of humans to survive. As their following increased, they grew in strength, and as their battle for control intensified, destruction became second nature to the people of Eden. This was chronicled in the past and has since passedinto legend. But after the devastation came peace. Without hardship, people stopped needing gods and the gods simply disappeared. And without gods, life continued. While you've slumbered, the path to evil has become even moreenticing. Warriors have been born, ever more fearsome weaponry has been developed, and the once idyllic land of Eden is teetering on the brink. The Greek people - your people - form the final barrier to total Aztec domination. Now a simple, desperate prayer has brought you back and you must follow your conscience once more. Will you establish secure and majestic environments that will become the envy of peoples across the land or will your cities become evil citadels of aggressionwith the sole purpose of supporting your war machine? Yay, fun! August 5, 2010 S. C. Rittenhouse (Fairbanks, AK) A really good, entertaining game--I spend hours on it and lose track of the time. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for hours of pleasing entertainment!
Phenomenal! August 1, 2010 jeremyd This game is too good to be true! The versatility of it is mind boggling!
My ONLY complaint is that the final level is very very difficult. But hey, a good challenge makes a game worth playing, right?? And I was still able to manage to beat it after several tries. So I guess it wasn't TOO hard.
Highly highly recommended!
Waited too long June 15, 2010 S. Henson (Nowhere, TX) I loved the first game, even with it's overly micro-managing gameplay. Should have picked this up a lot sooner than I did, enjoying it thoroughly.
Don't know January 27, 2010 Marjorie Mogerman (Fenton, MI) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought it, couldn't play it on Windows XP. Graphics Card not good enough. Still haven't been able to play it.
Black and White 2, Good or Evil? June 30, 2009 Brian M. Postell (Currently serving my country in Iraq) I believe that Black and White 2 was a great game, however if you were looking for alot of the same gameplay from the original you will be a little disappointed. The plays like it did with original black and white engine, with a few key differences, such as building your town. in the original black and white your villigers were very easy to take care of, while I was playing this game however i found that more than half my time was spent having to micromanage my city instead of conquering people and letting my creature wreak havoc across the map. It did have its perks though, such as your creature is a little easier to control(except for the fact that he can only learn 4 miracles), and you can actually create and lead armies into battle. All in all I think the game was pretty fun, but i still wish that they had kept some of the old black and white tricks and tools that i had come to love from the original.
