Definately makes the game more real July 11, 2010 Oh Amazing One In the game your sims can finally garden and with the jucier they can make energy drinks, love potions, etc. Theres a garden club, a new supernatural being called a plantsim, a wishing well, rain, lightning, snow and hail. You can also control the neighborhood seasons. This 2 disk set offered more than just weather. You have new clothes including outerwear and new items and family activities. Its fun and I love it. :)
Always Weather? July 2, 2010 Mir I had very high hopes for this expansion pack, but it seems as if most of them were not met. I don't know if I am the only person that has problems with this, but there is always some kind of weather going on, and my sims are spending half thier day looking out the window.
Also I think that summer should have been made so that there was no school. It seems like EA is dead-set on making it so that the sims kids HAVE to go to school. I liked the new interactions that came with this, but the penguin confused me. There is no point to it.
While I think that this isn't the worst EP I have no idea why everyone says it is thier favorite. I personally don't like my kids getting up at one in the morning to look at the light shower.
It is definetly worth getting, but I think there is too much hype about it especially because of the constant weather. There is never a day where I don't have to worry about getting my kids in the right attire for outside.
It was pretty good July 2, 2010 Char I love vampires, and now I love plantsims! They are so adorable, and I want one of very own!! I'm an avid gardener, so that helps too. It gets pretty laggy with extreme weather- fyi.
Gets a bit boring, but is still fun April 9, 2010 Lolita Goth (Texas, USA) Well a few weeks ago I bought this game at sales price. A big mistake. It is very fun in the beginning, but as you play it gets boring quickly.
Pros:
-Awsome Furniture
-PlantSims, which are perfect for begginers
-Actuall gardening
-New lots
-Riverblossom Hills, which adds a country feel
Cons:
-More micro-manegment
-Holiday pack NOT includid
-More chances of a child being taken by the social worker
-No new hobbies items unless you count the roller rink and ice skating rink
In conclusion:
Wait for a sale to buy it at about $10 or less. It is not worth the full price.
Not Perfect but worth the fun December 10, 2009 Brett Stroup (Sunbury, PA USA) I purchased this game about 2 years ago and of course had to install it right away when i got home to try it out. Right away I found myself playing the game for hours and lost track of time. I love the way the seasons change in this game cause it can seem so realistic, especially during the summer to autumn seasons when the leaves on the trees change colors just like in reality. The winter season in the game is also beautiful with several small and even quite large snowstorms that can occur througout the season. One time when I was playing the game it was winter time and the little weather guy on the television was calling for heavy snow and sure enough it snowed hard one night and my sim kids school was cancelled the next day. The graphics and sound on this game are quite good and it was certainly worth the price I paid for the game. The only complaint I have about the game is that I feel the creators could have went a little farther with the weather features in the game such as in winter having sleet and freezing rain be a possibility and not just the snow. Overall I give this pc game 4 stars under the categories of graphics, fun, gameplay, and sound quality. I do reccomend this to most younger and even some older video gamers to play!
