Eh.. July 2, 2010 Char This... I could have done without.
I've had some fun moments with it, but wow- if all dorms look that bad, I'm VERY grateful I never needed one!

Great game great buy. April 1, 2010 Jordan Collins (Dayton, OH USA) The game is definitely one of the greatest Sims 2 game titles. Its absolutely addictive and exciting sending young teen sims off to college.
College life takes TOO long December 30, 2009 JJ (USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First of all, let me say that this is an expansion pack for "The Sims 2", and you have to have "The Sims 2" to play this game. Now, this game really brings something real to the popular computer game. It brings college. And college is something where you study for classes, but you also have a good time. This expansion pack is more about doing homework than it is about having fun.
GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS GAME:
1.You have a lot of majors to choose from (I think 10). Everything from art to history to math.
2.You get a new age group called the young adults. These are between teens and adults. They get a lot of clothes only for them, but the hairstyles are for adults as well.
3.You get zombies. Really hard to get, but they are fun.
4.You get 4 new careers. Unfortunately, you HAVE to graduate college to get these career.
5.You get 2 more wants when you become a junior, to give you 5 positive wants and 3 negative.
6.You get new social moves suck as kicky bag and hang out.
7.You get new items such as guitar and bass.
8.You get up to date electronics like cell phones and handheld video games.
9.There are secret societies in this game which are really fun.
10.There are dorms. Some might not like this, but I thought that they were fun.
11.When you become a senior you can lock two wants (or fears) so that they will not go away until you do them or unlock them.
BAD THINGS ABOUT THIS GAME:
1.You have no time to do anything in college. You are always studying, doing homework, writing an essay, or going to class. Or, of course, you can have fun yet flunk your exam.
2.You don't go to class with your sim. It's like work, they just go, and you look at the dorm for 2-3 sim hours.
3.The fraternities and sororities are almost impossible to join. And when you do, it isn't that great. It's just like dorm except bigger, and you have to cook your own meals.
4.You have to complete college to unlock the other 4 jobs.
5.Each semester takes so long! It really takes a long time to get out of college.
6.You cannot really work. You can work in the cafeteria or at a coffee shop or bar, but it does not pay well. You can tutor, but that isn't fun. The only way to really earn money is to get good grades then you get a grant from the college.
7.You don't keep the money you earn in college. When you move out of college, you lose that money.
8.Your dorm room is really small.
The above mentioned are the pros and cons. I think that it's a good enough expansion to buy, but be prepared to be bored while in college. If you can get it for $15 or less, get it!
Instant immersion! December 24, 2009 George F. (Danville, PA United States) Bought the game & installed it as soon as it arrived. It integrates seamlessly & adds some very interesting gameplay. (I played for almost 2 days straight! (If you don't include short, 15-20 minute naps at the computer while playing.) :#
My only problem is with the shortcuts... you really only need the original for most packages/add-ons. So why, oh why, do they add a shortcut for each? They should only add a shortcut #& remove any extraneous ones) for those that **require** it to be used to start the game properly! Oh well, what can you do? (Guess the installers aren't quite that intelligent yet!) :)
