Let's face it, that's what it should be called. Not that I dislike the game. I spent several hours playing it and built myself quite an empire.
But the main thing I wanted was something to design rides on. And this one yeah you can ride the rides, but you're still limited by the prefab modules you have to stick to.
Ultimate Ride Coaster: Disney Edition may be better if, like me, you want more options. With the Disney coaster you have your prefab modules, but you can tweak them and customize them a bit more, and you can add sounds, etc. There is also a game mode, but it's more about having challenges of rides to build.
Of course if you really want the ultimate customizability with the steep learning curve that goes with it, look into No Limits Coaster.

This game is a good game. It has some of the grate things the original RCT had and it adds the grate idea of taking a ride on that which you create. This game falls short for me in the actual game play thow. It may very well be that I am not adjusting to the new idoms in the game and have just not given it a fair chance, but I dont like the controles as much. That sead - It is still a fun game which will give you hours of entertinament. I would recommend you try the original first, then buy this.

I was a big fan of the original Rollercoaster Tycoon, but when I saw this, I thought that I would try it, so I got it, installed it and launched it. Right away I noticed the clean and easy to navigate interface so I immediately went to sandbox mode and the game play, especially the Coaster Cam, is much better than the original, I really recommend getting this game.
