 SimCity 3000 a No Go April 14, 2010

I loved this game when it first came out and figured I'd buy a copy for my laptop and rebuild my dream cities from glory years long since past.... aah cancel that. I can not get Sim City 3000 to work on my laptop, tried sim city 4 as well. Sim City 3000 will start up but I have no cursor to move around to play the game. I updated my directX driver, uninstalled/reinstalled. Tried compatibility mode (which by the way, has never worked with anything I've ever tried it with). Oh well, it's a great game but on Vista with dual-core processers I can't get it (or SimCity4) to run properly. Even tried shutting down one of the processors. So until Maxius puts out a patch for Simcity 3000 or 4 (Which will never happen now that EA bought out Maxius)I guess those great glorious cities of yore will only live on in my memory. (sigh) ...Guess I'll have to look into Cities XL

Having played all the SimCities, without a doubt SimCity 3000 Unlimited is the most complete, most realistic, and most fun. The scenarios are fun, but nothing beats the excitement of building your own city from scratch and watching it flourish into a metropolis. A must have classic game that never gets old!
Simcity 3000 March 22, 2009
This game is ment mostly for the simple enjoyment of running and creating a town. I like to consider it a a more social type game. I meen my dads school used it for social reasons. There's no battle just creating and trying to your population up.
